Ingredients

1 package (8 oz) of refrigerated crescent roll dough

1 cup ground beef or turkey

1 tablespoon taco seasoning

1/2 cup refried beans

1 cup shredded cheddar cheese

1/2 cup diced tomatoes

1/4 cup finely chopped onion

1/4 cup sliced black olives (optional)

Cooking spray or olive oil

Sour cream and salsa for serving

Instructions

Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Spray lightly with cooking spray or brush with olive oil.

In a medium skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef or turkey until browned, about 5-7 minutes. Drain excess fat.

Stir in the taco seasoning with a splash of water (as per seasoning instructions) and mix well. Simmer for 2-3 minutes until thickened. Remove from heat.

Unroll the crescent roll dough and separate it into individual triangles.

Spread a thin layer of refried beans on each triangle, followed by a spoonful of the seasoned meat mixture, some diced tomatoes, chopped onion, black olives (if using), and a sprinkle of cheddar cheese.

Starting from the wide end of the triangle, tightly roll the dough towards the point to form a stick. Place each stick on the prepared baking sheet.

Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes or until the taco sticks are golden brown and flaky.

Remove from the oven and let cool slightly before serving.

Serve warm with sour cream and salsa for dipping.
