Ingredients

1 lb beef flank steak, thinly sliced against the grain

2 cups fresh broccoli florets

1 red bell pepper, thinly sliced

1 tablespoon vegetable oil

3 cloves garlic, minced

1 teaspoon fresh ginger, grated

1/4 cup soy sauce (low sodium)

2 tablespoons oyster sauce

1 tablespoon cornstarch

1/2 cup beef broth

1 tablespoon sesame oil

1 tablespoon rice vinegar

Salt and pepper to taste

Toasted sesame seeds (for garnish)

Cooked jasmine rice (for serving)

Instructions

In a bowl, combine the sliced beef with cornstarch, soy sauce, and a pinch of salt. Marinate for 15-20 minutes to enhance flavor and tenderness.

Heat vegetable oil in a large pan or wok over medium-high heat. Once hot, add the marinated beef in batches, searing it quickly for 1-2 minutes until browned. Avoid overcrowding the pan. Remove beef and set aside.

In the same pan, add minced garlic and grated ginger. Stir-fry for about 30 seconds until fragrant.

Add the broccoli florets and sliced red bell pepper to the pan. Stir-fry for about 3-4 minutes until they begin to soften but still retain their crunch.

Return the cooked beef to the pan and pour in the beef broth and oyster sauce. Stir to combine all ingredients and let simmer for 2-3 minutes, allowing the flavors to meld.

Drizzle sesame oil and rice vinegar over the mixture and stir again. Adjust with salt and pepper to taste if necessary.

Serve hot over a bed of cooked jasmine rice, garnished with toasted sesame seeds.
