2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts

8 oz rotini pasta

4 tablespoons unsalted butter

4 cloves garlic, minced

1 cup heavy cream

1 cup grated Parmesan cheese

1 teaspoon Italian seasoning

Salt and pepper to taste

Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Zest of 1 lemon (optional)

Instructions
 

Cook the Pasta: In a large pot, bring salted water to a boil. Add the rotini pasta and cook according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.

    Prepare the Chicken: While the pasta cooks, season the chicken breasts with salt and pepper on both sides.

      Sear the Chicken: In a large skillet, melt 2 tablespoons of butter over medium heat. Add the seasoned chicken breasts and cook for about 5-7 minutes per side or until golden brown and cooked through. Remove the chicken from the pan and let it rest.

        Make the Garlic Butter Sauce: In the same skillet, melt the remaining 2 tablespoons of butter. Add the minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant.
