Ingredients

4 slices of thick brioche or challah bread

2 large eggs

1/2 cup whole milk

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon

2 tablespoons unsalted butter

2 tablespoons brown sugar

A pinch of salt

Maple syrup (for serving)

Fresh fruit (for garnish, optional)

Instructions

Prepare the Mixture: In a medium bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, vanilla extract, ground cinnamon, and a pinch of salt until well combined.

Soak the Bread: Dip each slice of bread into the egg mixture, allowing it to soak for about 30 seconds on each side. Make sure the bread is saturated but not falling apart.

Caramelize the Butter and Sugar: In a large skillet, melt the butter over medium heat. Once melted, sprinkle the brown sugar evenly over the melted butter, allowing it to dissolve and form a syrupy base.

Cook the French Toast: Carefully place the soaked bread slices in the skillet. Cook for about 3-4 minutes on one side until golden brown and caramelized. Flip and cook the other side for another 3-4 minutes.

Serve: Remove from the skillet and serve immediately with maple syrup drizzled on top and your choice of fresh fruit for garnish.

            Prep Time: 10 minutes | Total Time: 20 minutes | Servings: 2-3

Enjoy your perfectly caramelized French toast that’s both simple and scrumptious! 🍽️❤️
