Ingredients

8 Hawaiian sweet rolls, sliced in half

4 large eggs

1 cup whole milk

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

1 teaspoon ground cinnamon

1 tablespoon sugar (optional, for sweetness)

1 tablespoon unsalted butter (for cooking)

Powdered sugar (for serving)

Fresh pineapple or banana slices (for serving)

Maple syrup (for drizzling)

Instructions

In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, vanilla extract, ground cinnamon, and sugar until well combined and frothy.

Preheat a non-stick skillet or griddle over medium heat and melt the butter, swirling to coat the surface evenly.

Submerge each sliced Hawaiian roll in the egg mixture, ensuring both sides are soaked but not overly soggy.

Place the soaked Hawaiian rolls on the skillet, cooking for 2-3 minutes until golden brown, then flip and cook the other side for another 2-3 minutes.

Once cooked, remove the rolls from the skillet and set aside.

Serve warm, dusted with powdered sugar and topped with fresh pineapple or banana slices. Drizzle with maple syrup for an extra touch of sweetness!
