Ingredients

300g linguine pasta

500g large shrimp, peeled and deveined

1 tablespoon olive oil

1 medium onion, finely chopped

3 cloves garlic, minced

1 bell pepper (red or yellow), chopped

1 teaspoon allspice

1 teaspoon smoked paprika

½ teaspoon cayenne pepper (adjust for spice preference)

1 cup coconut milk

1 cup heavy cream

½ cup grated Parmesan cheese

2 scallions, sliced (for garnish)

Salt and pepper to taste

Fresh cilantro or parsley for garnish (optional)

Instructions

Cook the Pasta: In a large pot, bring salted water to a boil. Add linguine and cook according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.

Prepare the Shrimp: In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add the shrimp and season with salt, pepper, allspice, smoked paprika, and cayenne pepper. Sauté for 2-3 minutes until the shrimp turns pink and is cooked through. Remove shrimp from skillet and set aside.

Sauté Vegetables: In the same skillet, add onions and bell pepper. Sauté until softened, about 5 minutes. Stir in minced garlic and cook for an additional minute until fragrant.

Make the Creamy Sauce: Pour in the coconut milk and heavy cream, stirring to combine. Allow the mixture to simmer for 5-7 minutes, reducing slightly.

Combine Ingredients: Stir in the grated Parmesan cheese until melted and the sauce is creamy. Add the cooked linguine and shrimp back into the skillet, tossing to coat the pasta evenly in the sauce.

Finish & Serve: Taste and adjust seasoning with salt and pepper. Garnish with sliced scallions and fresh herbs if desired. Serve hot and enjoy your creamy Jamaican Shrimp Pasta!
