Ingredients

2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts

1 tablespoon olive oil

Salt and pepper, to taste

3 cloves garlic, minced

1 teaspoon red pepper flakes (adjust to taste)

1 cup cherry tomatoes, halved

1 cup heavy cream

1 cup grated Parmesan cheese

1 teaspoon dried Italian herbs

12 oz fettuccine pasta

Fresh basil, for garnish

Extra Parmesan, for serving

Instructions

Prepare the Chicken: Season the chicken breasts liberally with salt and pepper.

Sear the Chicken: In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat. Once hot, add the chicken breasts and cook for about 5-6 minutes on each side until golden brown and cooked through. Remove from the skillet and let rest, then slice into strips.

Make the Sauce: In the same skillet, add the garlic and red pepper flakes; sauté for 1-2 minutes until fragrant. Add the cherry tomatoes and cook until softened. Pour in the heavy cream, then stir in the Parmesan cheese and dried Italian herbs, allowing the sauce to simmer gently for 3-5 minutes.

Cook the Pasta: In a large pot of salted boiling water, cook the fettuccine according to package instructions until al dente. Reserve about 1 cup of the pasta water, then drain the pasta.

Combine: Add the drained fettuccine to the skillet with the sauce, tossing to combine. If the sauce is too thick, add a bit of the reserved pasta water as needed. Stir in the sliced chicken until evenly coated.

Serve: Plate the pasta, garnishing with fresh basil and additional Parmesan cheese. Enjoy your Marry Me Chicken Pasta!
