Ingredients

1 lb ground chicken

1 cup fresh spinach, finely chopped

1 cup white cheddar cheese, shredded

1/2 cup breadcrumbs (preferably whole wheat)

1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese

1 clove garlic, minced

1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)

1 tablespoon Dijon mustard

1 teaspoon salt

1/2 teaspoon black pepper

1 tablespoon olive oil (for cooking)

Burger buns

Lettuce, tomato, and other toppings of choice

Instructions

In a large bowl, combine the ground chicken, chopped spinach, white cheddar cheese, breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, minced garlic, red pepper flakes, Dijon mustard, salt, and black pepper.

Mix the ingredients thoroughly with your hands until fully combined, being careful not to overmix.

Divide the mixture into 4 equal parts and shape each part into a patty about 1/2 inch thick.

Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Once the oil is hot, add the patties.

Cook the patties for about 5-6 minutes on each side, or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C) and the patties are golden brown.

If you're using burger buns, you may want to toast them lightly in the skillet for about 1 minute.

Assemble your burgers by placing a chicken patty on the bottom half of each bun. Add your choice of toppings like lettuce, tomato, and any sauces you prefer.

Place the top half of the bun on the burger, serve with your favorite sides like sweet potato fries or a simple salad, and enjoy!
